Trends in teaching Russian as a foreign language in China: traditions and innovations
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The authors emphasize that the issues of studying Russian as a foreign language in China remain relevant. It was demonstrated that the relevance of these studies is due to the expanding (in recent years) Russian-Chinese cooperation in many areas, including the field of education. The authors state that in China there are still no sufficiently effective modern methods for teaching Russian as a foreign language, which is due to conservative educational environment confined to traditional approach. The attempts currently being made to introduce interactive teaching methods are considered. The authors provide recommendations for improving the teaching process: situational topics selection, networking organization, assessment forms diversity, teaching methods reform, increasing teaching/learning motivation, and focus on intercultural component.
