The author presents an analysis of the properties of knowledge studied in science in socio-economic systems. The analysis establishes the dependence of the socio-economic system behavior on the information and knowledge component and substantiates the claim that it is necessary to produce knowledge for knowledge's sake, as well as to create one's own management agenda, without disconnecting from global practices and trends. The rst part of the study actualizes the problematics related to the interaction between human beings and knowledge, which directly and indirectly a ects the economy, a general view of the act of subordination in the economy through knowledge is described. A de nition of the socio-economic system mentality, with cognitive boundaries, is proposed. The information and knowledge component of institutionalism, which may be contained in an established or not yet established norm, has been allocated. The author proposes to consider separately the cases with knowledge detachment from systems in economics.
