Experience in the use of information and communication technologies in interactive engineering education in face-to-face and distance learning

Abstract:
The paper summarizes the results of the authors’ research in the field of improving the quality of education using information and communication technologies in interactive engineering education in face-to-face and distance learning. The purpose and objectives of the study have been formulated and ways of achieving the goals have been shown. Acknowledgments: the authors express sincere gratitude to their colleagues in the Institute of Physics and Applied Mathematics for experience sharing, tips and recommendations. Particular thanks are for I. N. Gorbatyi, whose virtual laboratory class has served for the authors as a model and a stimulus at preparation of virtual laboratory practicum. The authors are also grateful to their students who took part in individual task performance, endured experimentations on them and after that consented to complete a survey and to give their, sometimes even positive, opinion concerning teaching method. Special thanks are due to Professor V. V. Losev without whom this work would not have taken place.
